Painting of the City of Liverpool that the plate image was copied from.  Center of an actual plate with the City of Edinburgh.

City of Liverpool plate shown on left, followed with Maker's Mark from back. This plate was missmarked by the Pottery Manufacturer - the scene shown on the plate is actually of Liverpool, not Edinburgh, as marked. The painting of Liverpool shown here is what was used to make the plate. The far right image is the center of an actual Edinburgh City plate that is correctly marked.
